Hungarian Red Cross delegate meeting in Debrecen

 “In the next 130 years the work of the Vöröskereszt (Hungarian Committee of the Red Cross) will surely be needed” – György Habsburg, head of Vöröskereszt said at the delegate meeting held in Debrecen on 15 May.

The meeting was held on the occasion of the 131st anniversary of the foundation of the organization. Besides the delegates, those volunteers attended the meeting who actively take part in the work of Vöröskereszt. The ceremonial event was partly organized to honour their activities. The outgoing head of Vöröskereszt said that the extensive work of the organization would be needed for long. That work includes the arrangement of blood donations, first aid competitions, courses and exams and disaster assistance.
