A 36-meter-tall Lego brick tower has been built in Tel Aviv.The city of Tel Aviv has made an attempt to build the world’s tallest Lego brick tower this year. The result was announced on Wednesday (27th of December): a 36-meter-tall tower which is taller than the one built before, back in 2015 in Milan, Italy. However, the project was not supported by Lego, the attempt was a common initiation of Tel Aviv City Hall and Young Engineers, an organization that promotes learning with toy bricks.
The 36-meter-tall Lego tower also is a monument to remind people of a child who died of cancer back in 2014. Omer Sayag was only 8 years old when he died, and he had a passion for building blocks. So the tower is called Omer Tower.
