At least three costumers of Tesco Supermarket reported after Christmas that there were fake Lego bricks in the Lego boxes they had bought from Tesco.All the three costumers bought expensive (20-30,000 HuF) Lego bricks from Tesco. However, in the boxes instead of Lego bricks they found cheap Chinese fake bricks and old newspapers.
Tesco announced that they would start the investigation right after Christmas and they apologize to the costumers who bought the toys from them. It is sure that the fraud did not happen at the Lego Factory in Nyíregyháza, since the newspapers that were found in the boxes are from Budapest.
