The new portal of the University and National Library of the University of Debrecen (http://idea.unideb.hu) starts in July.
The University and National Library of the University of Debrecen has made a new, representative internet portal called “iDEa” which, besides presenting the values of the past, gives opportunities for the promotion of scientific research results and provides an online social space for all the “citizens” of the institute.
The website incorporates three important areas:
- Tradition: this part of the portal gives information about the life and work of the former university rectors, provides an overview of the documents related to the organizational units and the buildings of the university.
- Science: it focuses on the researchers of the university: on their scientific findings, publications and on-going researches.
- Talent: this page is the virtual space of the new generation of scientists; it is adapted to the user habits of the youth and its main objective is to provide an online community space for them.
