Design Terminal launches programme to connect CEE’s innovation ecosystems

Europe

Innovation agency Design Terminal will launch a two-year programme to help connect start-ups and SMEs developing innovations in eastern and central Europe with western European markets, the agency’s director said. The programme will be launched in January in partnership with The Next Web, based in The Netherlands, with events taking place in Budapest, Amsterdam and Riga, Gergely Böszörményi-Nagy said in a statement.

The programme dubbed X-Europe will offer training, mentoring and the possibility of building ties with prospective investors.

It will also help broaden the media coverage of its participants.

Organisers expect to mobilise around 1,500 start-ups, of which 150 are eligible to participate actively in the programme.

The aim is to create innovation “value-chains” at a European level and to integrate innovative solutions in the region, Böszörményi-Nagy said.
