According to MTI, hot summer weather with 26-34 Celsius and thunderstorms with strong wind are expected today and at the weekend.First degree weather alerts have been issued for today (24th of August) because of the hot weather in Budapest and Pest, Baranya, Bács-Kiskun, Békés, Csongrád, Fejér, Hajdú-Bihar, Heves, Jász-Nagykun-Szolnok and Tolna counties. In the western counties and the northern part of the country the temperature will be between 25 and 27 Celsius. Highest temperature in Hungary will be between 29 and 34 Celsius.
In the northern area and in Eastern Hungary, rainfall, thunderstorms and showers are also expected today.
During the following days, strong wind and rainfalls are expected in Győr-Moson-Sopron, Komárom-Esztergom, Vas, Veszprém and Zala counties. Because of this, first degree weather alerts have been issued in these regions.
