English for the Environment Project – Environmental Issues in the English Classroom

American English Language Specialist Dr. Jane Petring will present local English teachers on ways of integrating environmental issues into their instruction. As the author of three series of English textbooks, she strives to expose students and educators to important issues and empower them to make a difference while improving English language proficiency. An avid cyclist and recyclist, she rides her bike daily, looks for ways for all of us to reduce our ecological footprint, and encourages the public to draw inspiration from the genius of nature in creating sustainable, innovative designs.

 

In the morning Dr. Jane Petring will be peresnting a DEMO EFL class at Szoboszlói Úti Általános Iskola.

 

In the afternoon at 2:30 PM, Dr. Jane Petring, EL Specialist will conduct a workshop for English teachers on techniques for integrating environmental issues into English curricula, and for practicing environmentally sound teaching.

Venue: Szoboszlói Úti Általános Iskola, 4031 Debrecen, Szoboszlói út 3.

The workshop is free of charge, and open to all English Teachers.

REGISTRATION IS REQUIRED, the number of available seats is limited. Please register at debrecen@americancorner.hu until September 30, 2014.
