The students donate the proceeds from the events organized by them.

The Pediatric Institute of the Medical and Health Science Centre of University of Debrecen received a 1.5 million HUF donation from the UDAS, the FMSA and the Student Coordinating Centre of the University of Debrecen`s Medical and Health Science Centre. Mr Sagi Martinov handed over the money to Prof. György Balla, chairman of the Foundation for Our Children.

The University of Debrecen has nearly 3,000 foreign students. Young people from 60 countries of five continents study here to obtain a degree. The vast majority of the students follow studies at the Medical and Health Science Centre of the University with the aim to receive a medical, dentist or pharmacist degree. The degree of the local University is welcomed and recognized in every corner of the world. The foreign students traditionally make charitable donations on their international ceremonies, activities. In November 2010 during the Diwali and Ramadan festivals the Asian Society collected 300 000 HUF donation.

During this spring two major international events were organized by foreign students at the University of Debrecen. The International Food Day is the finest and most colorful event organized by foreigners in the university. The Medical Week is the second event. On these events they raised 800 000 HUF, while the Debrecen`s Got Talent show added another 400 000 HUF to charity.
