Russian Post branches in the Murmansk region started selling beer. As Tles was informed by Olesya Golushkova, leading specialist in corporate communications at the UFPS of the Murmansk region, this was done to increase the profitability of the post offices.

“Low-alcohol drinks have been sold since January 2019. The sale of products with low alcohol content will increase the profitability of post offices and attract additional funds to modernize the post office network. Low alcohol sales are made in accordance with current legislation, there is no other, “said Golushkova.

The interlocutor of the agency said that beer is sold only in part of the branches. “Mainly in remote branches, there are 40 of the 152 branches in the Murmansk region,” he explained, noting that the sale of beer “gives the public access to high quality certified products”.
