New Electric Charging Stations Built in Debrecen

Ten new electric charging stations and new parking lots are built in Debrecen.Construction work of the new parking lots and electric charging stations began on the 6th of August, 2018 and are expected to end on the 20th. After that, the installation of the new charging stations will start, which are expected to be delivered by the 30th September, 2018.

In Debrecen, there is already an electric charging station in the underground garage of the Big Forest. However, there is a need to install more, as there are more and more electric cars in the city.

The promotion of environmentally friendly transport is a key objective of the Debrecen Smart City program, so no wonder that green cars can be parked free of charge in the city from the spring of 2016.

Two types of electric charging stations will be built in the city:

9 “A” type charging stations which are capable of serving two 22kW (AC) charging at one time and 1 “C” type quick charger providing at least 42kW (DC) power.

The “C” type quick charger will be built in:

Debrecen, Segner square (MOL petrol station).
