The universities of Debrecen and Oradea will develop a training programme considering the needs of the labor market to reduce unemployment.

The aim of both universities to provide trainings and services which help people to gain adequate knowledge. The graduates do not possess the increasingly required competencies so is hard to find qualified workers.
The university launched the Hunmarket site to enable graduates to advertise what kind of job they are looking for and also the companies to publish the new positions. There are currently more than 2000 users and about a hundred companies registered on the site.

The areas of the audiovisual media, electrical engineeing, ITand the hotel and tourismmake the highest demand for the well-trained staff.

The two universities want a cross border co-operation to reduce unemployment with short-therm trainings. The future courses will favor those who are not able to participate in the education in person due to the geographical distances. The co-operation intends to acquire the basic skills for jobs via e-learning.

The new courses will provide an internationally recognized qualification. The budget of the programme is around 180thousand euros. 95 percent of the money will be from the European Regional DevelopmentFund and 5percent will be provided by the universities.
